It seems like only yesterday that Apple sold their One Billionth song. I’m sure that, just like me, you expected them to go, “OK, that’s a good billion, I think we’ve made our point so let’s shut ‘er down”. But that is not what they did. They just kept right on selling and selling and here we are at the point where they’ve done that 1 billion thing 4 more times! How many more times can you sell a billion before you just start calling it billions and billions? I’m thinking 100 billion would be a good place to make that switchover.

That wasn’t the only celebratory note yesterday, though. Apple also announced that their customers are renting and purchasing over 50,000 movies every day. There are many that pooh-pooh’d Apple’s entry into the video realm (again, something others had tried but not quite hit the magic of) and they’re probably pooh-pooh’ing the paltry 50,000 a day. The way I see it, that must be a good thing! Because, you know, you can only pooh-pooh so much before you’re no longer full of... pooh.
