Fun with Gradients
Fun with Gradients
Shiny happy thingies
Everywhere you look, all over the web, Apple’s influence is evident. Now, I’m not saying that Apple was the first to come up with the whole “shiny button” thing, but it seemed that the internet as a whole got a bit more shiny, a skosh more glossy, a smidge more glowy after OSX. The main ingredient in all this graphic fluffery? The gradient. Lucky for you, gradients are included with each and every hearty serving of iWeb. Today, I’m just going to give you the seed of the idea that may take you up quite a creative tree of your own!

You Did It!
Using the above, you can grab any gradient from any site and make it your own. Combine that with the new iClip lite 2, and you can have a set of gradients ready to use for any occasion right in your Dashboard.
Look around for gradients you can use on your own site. Here’s some links to a few you can try to emulate.

One excellent reason for BootCamp!
And of COURSE I’ve included these as a downloadable iClip data file. After download, remove “Gradient” from the name then check out my previous page to see how to use it.
Next time, we’ll take this same basic strategy one step further so you too can create the eye on this page using just iWeb, two unsharpened pencils, three paper clips, some tissue paper and a comb (mainly just iWeb, but you might want to make some music afterwards :)
