Shine on!

Shine 2.0

Oh, hi! Didn’t expect to see you back so soon. I’ve just been going through my pages, looking at all the images I’ve created and dropping an email link at the bottom of all of ‘em. So, nothing’s really “up” right now. Sure, I’ve got some things on the back burner, but that’s for later. Not “right now”.

You know, I do kinda feel bad that you’ve come all this way and I don’t even have the blogging equivalent of a cup of coffee for you. No blog-scones, or blog-crumpets, or blog-tea... WAIT, there IS one thing I saw that gave me a giggle. Maybe it’ll do for a bloggiggle.

You remember not too long ago when I went on and on about gradients? Well, I found my way to a website parodying corporate logos redone in full Web 2.0 splendor. Why is this noteworthy? Because apparently Web 2.0 is all about da’ gradients! Page after page of slippery, shiny, lickable, glossed to the gills logo redo’s. And, from what I could tell, a lot of the basic effects could be accomplished using iWeb or Keynote. Just to test that theory I created the above umm, “thing” for iWeb 2. Anyway, of course, I’ve got it here for you to download to see the slightly different gradient path I took on this one.
