Fake the Opaque
Dear Sir/Madam,
As you have no doubt noticed, dropping some .pdf files into iWeb yields only your text with no “paper” behind it. If your background is white, then the problem isn’t as severe. If you have a darker background like this one or a busy background, a nice floral pattern, perhaps, then it’s hard to determine that the image stands for a page (as the image to the right shows).
Putting aside the issue that you shouldn’t drop a document .pdf directly into iWeb if your intent is to link to it, how does one make a .pdf look more like the page it’s meant to represent? In a previous post, I described one of a possible fiftylevendozen ways to accomplish this (give or take a twotennysix or two) and here’s another that’s relatively quick.
