How Sincere!
How Sincere!
Flattered, I’m sure
Wii wow! They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
Well, someone tell IGN that I am TRULY flattered! Don’t let anyone tell you that you need Photoshop, Illustrator and other high priced tools like that to create an interesting design. You can use Intaglio or Keynote and do a mighty fine job!
Above, you’ll see the top half of IGN’s current graphic for their Wii E3 wrapup. Below is the bottom half of my graphic I used for my Wii logo story here. There are more than just a couple similarities not the least of which is the use of the A button for the dot of the first “i”, the same place I put mine weeks ago. They did swap the controller and “glowing slot” pictures, but they used the older versions of the controller (the one without the speaker and Wii logo). And, instead of the Wiimote’s eye, they used an image of Nintendo’s laughing dog from Duck Hunt... ok, not really Wii related but there’s SUPPOSED to be a Duck Huntish game coming out this fall, I just hope the graphics look better than that. Maybe let you pick one of your own Nintendogs to upload from your DS. But they don’t shoot Nintendogs, do they?
In other Wii news, the price has just been stated as “less than $250 in the US” so I know I’ll be happily getting mine.
If the image disappears from IGN, just email me and I can post it here. And tell ‘em I said, “thanks!”
