After getting the Reflections theme, I wanted to see what kind of fun I could have with it. With that in mind, I looked for a decent quality video clip to play with. Using the instructions included with the theme, I created the look of a frame in “iChatworld” (sitting on a reflective surface). I think it came out pretty good. You can download it here.

While it is true that Apple has included a reflection effect in Keynote, iWeb and other apps, currently, this effect only works on images (and text in some apps like iDVD). If you want to expand that idea to include all the media you place on a slide, you need this theme.

After a straight export, I used QuickTime Pro to add controls (command-J, go to the Presentation tab and where it says Movie Controller Type choose Movie Controller). It’s a 16 meg download and I figured it’d be nice to show how much is progressing. As a result, you can also see the chapter track that Keynote includes in the QuickTime export.
