Caper foiled by Michigan man
Bloomfield, MICH – A caper was foiled in the wee hours of the morning of February 23rd when Alex Ostrovsky’s love for Coldplay factored into an utter defeat of one “Dr. Evil”. Local police reports indicate that Dr. Evil had stacked the cards against music lovers in 21 countries by piling up a phenomenal list of tracks into his iTunes Shopping Cart. With the intent to purchase over 43,000 in one fell swoop, he was all but assured that the iMac, iPods and $10,000 gift card would be his. However, he had not counted on Alex’s early morning desire to acquire Coldplay’s X&Y album. As the seconds ticked away, Alex had no idea that it would be his purchase of the aptly named “Speed of Sound” that would rocket his purchase for good right past Dr. Evil and make him the Grand Prize Winner. Thus, ensuring victory not only for himself, but for ALL iTunes Music Store users everywhere! All that remained for Dr. Evil was the image below and a sinking feeling in the pit of his first generation iPod.

Some questions still remain: What WAS he going to do with the iMac, how, exactly, would he have distributed the music among the iPods and why, if he had the money to purchase 43,000 songs, didn’t he just go into an Apple Store and pick up the same items for less money? We may never fully understand his mind of evil, but we have created an iMix that includes partial list of songs he was attempting to purchase.
When contacted for this story Alex stated,”Who are you? How did you get this number? LEAVE ME ALONE!..” then the line was suddenly cut. Officials have been insistent that this was a “Caper” and not a “Plot”. When questioned why, they simply replied,”Check your dictionary dashboard widget, ya blogga!”
Seriously, congratulations to the winner AND the future folks that’ll be helped by that Juilliard School scholarship! Oh, and you know we couldn’t let this go by without a little SOMETHING for ya! Click the link above for a Keynote 2 & 3 compatible file of the Dr. Evil shield!
And Happy Birthday to Steve Jobs, thanks a billion...
