Return of the Cube!
Return of the Cube!
This one was moreso an error of omission than anything else. When I’d originally posted about the Fifth Dimension, er, Fifth AVENUE adventure, I had wholly expected to post the shape for the cube graphic so that others with iWeb (or iWork) could create their very own cube-collages. This was not to be, however, because I really didn’t like how it came out. The lines weren’t as straight as I wanted, the corners weren’t as corny as I demanded from myself and it got placed on the back burner (NOT the one on the left, that’s the one that gets hot when the oven’s on!) when I’d revisit it’s creation to see if I could do myself justice.
Enter the latest version of EazyDraw. It’s a great mac only app that has functions that make drawing something like this a snap. Drawing is just ONE part of the equation, though. The OTHER part is getting it into an iWeb happy format so that you can change the colors of the stroke and the fill at will. For example, I couldn’t place bends at the cube corners because the join would extend past the edge and other such things like that. Once I had re-created and was happy with the one, I decided I wanted to do another that was a little different so I dove into Intaglio to create it. And here we have it, two versions of the cube, instead of the one I’d intended originally. Not too shabby, eh?
Click the cube on the left for the version made of the lines, click the cube on the right for the one made of the faces. You’ll see what the difference is after you’ve download ‘em.
